Today’s bus ride back to Hanoi will take approximately 3 hours. Shared day-use hotel rooms will be available in Hanoi if you’d like to freshen up before boarding the train (1 room per 6 group members).
The overnight sleeper train to Hue typically features compartments with four or six berths. The bench seats convert into beds, and a pillow, sheet, and blanket are provided. You may be sharing a compartment with passengers of different genders or those not in your group. Your Hoa Binh Tourist leader will provide all the necessary details and help with coordination.
Arrive in Hue this morning, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, rich with royal history and cultural heritage. After transferring to your hotel, enjoy some free time to relax or dive straight into exploring. If you’re feeling adventurous, head to the bustling Dong Ba Market, where you can sample local specialties like banh khoai—a crispy royal rice cake once served at the tables of Nguyen emperors. Later, rejoin the group for a guided tour of the Imperial Citadel, a historic site partially damaged during war.
