12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: After pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or the Opera House, we begin our exciting day of sightseeing with captivating highlights:
Lunch: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional dishes that reflect the rich flavors of the region.
Temple of Literature (Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam): Discover Vietnam’s first university, established in October 1073. This ancient architectural marvel is dedicated to Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, and Chu Van An, the esteemed principal of the university, embodying Vietnam’s high moral philosophy of education.
Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton): Visit the historical site that served as a prison during French colonial rule. It was partially destroyed in 1990 and is now a museum, offering insight into the struggles faced by Vietnamese prisoners.
4:00 PM: Conclude your Hanoi City tour as we return you to your hotel. Alternatively, you may choose to be dropped off at the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake area to explore at your leisure (self-paid for any additional expenses). You can stroll around the lake, admire the blend of Vietnamese and French architecture, visit Ngoc Son Temple dedicated to the revered General Tran Hung Dao, rent a cyclo or electric vehicle to cruise through the Old Quarter, or enjoy a traditional water puppet show.
